What to Know Before You Stay in Bakirkoy, Istanbul

Three things are worth knowing before you stay in Bakırköy (Bakirkoy): every guest needs a passport at check-in (Turkish citizens can show their T.C. • ID details are registered for every guest, so everyone staying together should have their document with them.
• Make sure the document is valid and the details on it are legible.
• If you have a question about documents for children, ask when you book.

This is a legal requirement for every place to stay in Türkiye; with your documents to hand, check-in is quick.

Check-in and check-out times

If you're arriving on an early flight or bus, or heading back late in the evening, tell us when you book. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability; ask in advance and we'll give you a clear answer straight away.

How to book and how it's confirmed

Bookings are made over the phone or by WhatsApp message; there's no form to fill in and no membership. Here's how it works:

1. You tell us your dates and how many guests are coming, and the apartment type if you have a preference.
2. The current price and availability are given during the conversation.
3. Your booking is confirmed in a written message. Cancellation and change terms are sent in writing at the same time.

Keep the confirmation message and check that the dates, apartment type and number of guests are written correctly. If something needs correcting, message us straight away.

Payment and price

You can pay in cash, by bank transfer (havale/EFT) or by card on arrival; you don't need to share your card details online. We give you the current price for your chosen apartment and dates over the phone or on WhatsApp straight away. Seeing the price, cancellation terms and payment method together in the confirmation message makes everything clear from the start.

Questions to ask before booking

• How many of us are there, and which apartment suits us? Studio apartment (1+0) sleeps 1–2, one-bedroom apartment (1+1) 2–3, two-bedroom apartment (2+1) 4–5.
• Does the building have a lift? Yes; the building has a lift and security cameras, and every apartment has a kitchen.
• Is early check-in or late check-out possible?
• What are the cancellation and change terms?
• If my arrival is late, how will we arrange check-in?

• Cleaning routine: cleaning is done regularly; ask during the conversation how often it will be done on a longer stay.
• Everyday shopping: Capacity shopping mall is 9 minutes on foot, Bakırköy Freedom Square (Özgürlük Meydanı) and the bazaar 6 minutes.
• Changing dates: if you might extend or shorten your stay, get the change terms in writing from the start.

During your stay

Every apartment has its own kitchen, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and 24/7 hot water; the building has a lift and security cameras, and cleaning is done regularly. For breakfast you can walk to the cafés and restaurants around Bakırköy Freedom Square in 6 minutes.
